SCAC Men's Basketball Podcast - Week 2
On this week's SCAC Men's Basketball Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer caught up with Player-of-the-Week Josh Saunders of Austin College.
Saunders a junior forward from Athens, Texas, has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, December 6 through Sunday, December 12.
Saunders scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds in the Kangaroos’ 79-64 win over Rhema Bible College. He finished the game one assists shy of a triple-double and tallied three steals.
Saunders shot 46.2 percent (6-of-13) from floor while connecting on all four of his free throws. He also was 2-of-3 shooting from three-point range in the win.

SCAC Women's Basketball Podcast - Week 2
On this week's SCAC Women's Basketball Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer caught up with Player-of-the-Week Jana Tucker of Trinity.
Tucker sophomore post from Katy, Texas, has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, December 6 through Sunday, December 12.
Tucker led Trinity to a 71-62 win at the University of Dallas on Tuesday, snapping the team’s five-game losing streak.
Tucker scored her first double-double of the season, doing so with 13 points and an impressive 19 rebounds. The 19 boards ties her for 10th in Trinity history for a single game. She hit 4-9 from the field and 4-5 from the foul line, and also swiped three steals in her 33 minutes off the bench.
Even more impressive was Tucker’s second half: She scored all 13 of her points in the final 20 minutes, and grabbed 12 of her 19 rebounds in the second period.
For the season, Tucker is third on the team with 8.6 points/game, but leads the Tigers with 8.0 rebounds/game. She is hitting 31.7% (20-63) from the field this year, and is also tied for third on the team with 13 total steals.

SCAC Men's Basketball Podcast - Week 1
On this week's SCAC Men's Basketball Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer caught up with Player-of-the-Week Ryan Milne of Colorado College.
Milne a first year guard from Phoenix, Ariz., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, November 29 through Sunday, December 5.
Milne averaged 15 points, 6.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game during three games during the week. He shot just under 45.7 percent from the floor (16-of-35) for the week.
Milne averaged 21.5 points, 7.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game while leading Colorado College to road victories at SCAC members Hendrix and Millsaps. Milne made 15 of 29 shots from the floor (.517), 7-of-13 three-point attempts (.538) and all six of his free throws. He had 14 assists and only one turnover.
During the 68-48 victory at Hendrix, Milne finished with a career-high 27 points and had nine assists and seven rebounds. In Sunday’s 55-51 victory at Millsaps, he had 16 points and five assists with no turnovers.

SCAC Women's Basketball Podcast - Week 1
On this week's SCAC Women's Basketball Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer caught up with Player-of-the-Week Sarah Giles of Oglethorpe.
Giles sophomore forward from Marrietta, Ga., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, November 29 through Sunday, December 5.
Giles averaged 22 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game while leading Oglethorpe their first two wins on the season.
Giles posted 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in the Petrels 71-55 win over Agnes Scott. In the first conference game of the year against Sewanee Giles posted a game high 26 points and 12 rebounds to go along with five assists as the Petrels held the top scoring offense in the conference to just 54 points. On the week Giles shot 58.3% from the field (21-for-36) including a red hot 12-for-16 night against the Purple Tigers.
On the season Giles is shooting 51.4% from the field (4th in SCAC) averaging 13.8 points, 10 rebounds (3rd in SCAC) and 2.5 blocks (2nd in SCAC) per contest.
