SCAC Women's Basketball Podcast
On this week's SCAC Women's Basketball Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer caught up with Player-of-the-Week Senior forward Christina Byler of Hendrix.
Byler led her team to a pair of conference wins over the weekend, placing the Warriors in a four-way tie for first place in the SCAC West Division. The Little Rock, Ark. native paced Hendrix with 20 points in a 71-63 win over Rhodes on Friday and then led the team with 18 points in a 71-65 victory over Birmingham-Southern on Sunday. Byler found her stroke from behind the arc as she knocked down nine 3-pointers over the weekend, including a 5-of-6 performance on Sunday. She currently ranks third in the league with a 43.0 percentage from distance.
On the weekend, Byler averaged 19 points; six rebounds along with one block and steal per contest. On the season her 15.5 points per game ranks sixth in the conference to this point.

SCAC Men's Basketball Podcast
On this week's SCAC Men's Basketball Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer caught up with Player-of-the-Week freshman guard Donovan Whiteside of Centre.
Whiteside averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in a pair of SCAC road wins over Southwestern and Trinity. The first-year player scored 16 points with four rebounds, three assists and three steals in Centre’s 72-54 win over the Pirates Friday night.
He then came back the next day to post his first double-double of his collegiate career with 11 points and 11 rebounds in a 73-61 win over Trinity. In the two games combined, Whiteside made 11 of 18 (61.1%) from the floor.
Through 16 games, Whiteside is now averaging 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.

SCAC Women's Basketball Podcast
On this week's SCAC Women's Basketball Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer caught up with Co Player-of-the-Week Katie Aldrich of DePauw and the Tigers head coach Kris Huffman.
Aldrich averaged 19 points on 17-of-26 (65.4%) shooting to go along with eight rebounds per game to help lead the DU Tigers to a pair of conference wins over the weekend. Aldrich also added a pair of steals and a block while averaging 28.5 minutes a game.
Aldrich scored career high 32 points and grabbed 8 rebounds against Hendrix. The 32 points equaled the second-best single-game output in school history. For the season Aldrich is shoot a league best 52.7% from the field averaging 12.6 points and 5.9 rebounds a contest.
