This week on the SCAC Field Hockey Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer had the chance to catch up with Rhodes' teammates and SCAC Offensive and Defensive Players-of-the-Week, Charlie Wagner and Sarah Dockery.
Wagner is an undeniable presence in every game the Lynx play. She helped led her team to two big wins this weekend from the center mid position, playing all 170 minutes and running goal line to goal line throughout both matches.
Wagner was successful on her penalty stroke which was vital in the DePauw win and also scored the Lynx third goal at Sewanee on Sunday. Wagner's vision, distribution, and elimination skills make her standout as one of the best players in the region.
Dockery was integral in Rhodes’ big wins this weekend at DePauw and Sewanee. In Friday’s match Sarah earned a total of 17 saves including several one on one stops in regulation and overtime. In penalty strokes Dockery blocked all three DePauw attempts that were on frame including a phenomenal stick save.
Dockery earned Sunday’s win over Sewanee in shutout fashion and notched nine saves along the way. Sarah has worked hard and improved tremendously over the last six weeks and the Lynx thrive on her confidence and communication from goal.
