2009 SCAC Football Media Days - Centre College

Centre College comes into the 2009 season after posting a record of 7-3 record a year ago, the best season in Danville, Kentucky since 2005. Head coach Andy Frye enters his twelfth season with a career record at Centre of 65-45 (37-31).

On the defensive side of the ball, Centre returns three of four starters from its secondary. Led by the second team All-SCAC selections Zach Sloan and Sean Swallen, the Colonel secondary helped pave the way for a defense that was No. 2 in the league in total defense and No. 3 against the pass. Senior Brian Sneed will lead the linebackers after earning second team All-SCAC accolades in 2008. Sneed was second on the team in tackles (98) and tackles for loss (10.5).

Offensively Centre returns SCAC Newcomer of the Year Tyler Osterman under center at quarterback along with a talented group of young receivers and leading rusher Jonathan Pinque from a year ago.
