2009 SCAC Football Media Days - DePauw University

DePauw enters the 2009 season after posting back to back 8-2 seasons including two straight wins over longtime rival Wabash in the historic Monon Bell game. Interim Head Coach Robby Long enters his first season at the helm after taking over for Matt Walker resigned prior to preseason camp.

DePauw (USA Today Division III preseason #19) return 17 starters and 41 letterwinners including senior quarterback Spud Dick. Dick is eight all-time in SCAC history with 6,527 passing yards and needs 2,768 yards to tie Juan Joseph's career mark.

Defensivly, DePauw returns eight starters from a unit that allowed just three touchdowns over last year's final two games. Starters return at three of four defensive line positions including senior Alex Fitch and junior tackles Tyler Doane and Ryan Huffman. All three earned second team All-SCAC honors last year.
