SCAC Field Hockey Podcast

This week on the SCAC Field Hockey Podcast Director of Communications Russell Kramer had the chance to catch up with SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Week Margaret Ellis of DePauw and SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week Regan McLaughlin of Rhodes.

Ellis scored 3 goals in the first half against Division II's 8th ranked Bellarmine.

Over the weekend, Ellis scored DePauw's second goal in SCAC win over Centre.

Ellis
now leads the SCAC with 12 goals; the sophomore is just five goals shy of tying the SCAC single season record.

McLaughlin had two outstanding games for the Lynx this weekend. With exceptional speed and ball control Regan is all over the backfield for Rhodes. McLaughlin also has great game sense which leads to a strong offensive push and presence from the Lynx defensive end.

Coming off a calf injury which kept her out of play last weekend, McLaughlin was a big part of both the Hendrix and Lindenwood wins. Regan has started and played in every game she was healthy this fall. Regan played the vast majority of both games this weekend and helped to hold opponents to just nine shots and one goal in 140 minutes of play.
