This week on the SCAC Football Podcast; Director of Communications Russell Kramer sat down with SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week Will Hawkins and Special Teams Player-of-the-Week Michael Galatas both of Millsaps College.
Hawkins tallied 14 tackles (12 solo), three tackles for loss and added two sacks in the Majors’ 35-19 win over visiting Huntingdon (Ala.). Hawkins currently leads the SCAC with 13 tackles per game and is second in the league in sacks.
Galatas totaled 195 all-purpose yards in the Majors’ 35-19 win over Huntingdon (Ala.). He totaled 11 yards on five kickoffs (22.2 avg.) and also contributed by averaging 17.3 yards per punt return on three returns with a long return of 51 yards.
Galatas is second in the league in punt return average (9.9/return).
