Hendrix spoiled Southwestern's inaugural SCAC Softball Tournament appearance with a 4-3 win. In a game that saw a total of 17 runners stranded on base Hendrix was able to scratch across one more run holding the Pirates of Southwestern scoreless in the final two innings.
The Pirates who had its final series of the season cancelled due to weather finally got back to action after almost two full weeks off. Southwestern falls to 18-15 on the year and will face Millsaps tomorrow in an elimination game. First pitch is scheduled for 10 AM CST from the campus of Trinity University.
After the game SCACs Russell Kramer caught up with Southwestern head coach Angela Froboese, Hendrix head coach Amy Weaver and winning pitcher Liz Vaughan of Hendrix.
