For the second year in a row DePauw's Callie Boehme won the women's 500-yard freestyle. Just a sophomore, Boehme from Germantown, Tennessee, cliped the previous SCAC Championships record by nearly three second in a time of 5:06.62.

Boehme who now owns two of the fastest three times ever in the SCAC Championships talked about her swim.

Trinity continued to dominate the men's 500-yard freestyle as Alex Miranda won the event in a time of 4:37.66. It was the 11th year in a row that a swimmer from Trinty has taken home this event for the men. Miranda, from Upper Arlington, Ohio, who is just a freshman continued the trend of the 2009 SCAC Swimming Championships by setting the new championships record with his time.
