The King and his Court, Warriors Advance to Saturday's Semifinals

Led by senior standout Andrew King's 21 point 14 rebound double-double, the West No. 2 seeded Hendrix College Warriors earned a 92-80 overtime victory over the East No. 3 seeded Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels.

Oglethorpe's Todd Ward led all scorers with a game-high 26 points on 12-of-24 shooting from the floor.

Hendrix, which surrendered a double-digit lead late in the second half, had a chance to win in regulation. The Warriors inbounded the ball at mid-court with half a second left. King caught the in bounds pass and got the shot off, which fell short and hit the front of the rim. Hendrix then outscored Oglethorpe 20-8 in the extra session for the win.

The SCAC's Jeff DeBaldo caught up with Oglethorpe head coach Phil Ponder, Hendrix head coach Dan Priest and Hendrix's David Foley.
