DePauw's Stier and Trinity's Miranda Break Through for 200-Yard Butterfly Titles


DePauw's Amanda Stier became the first ever four time winner of the women's 200-yard fly Saturday evening with a time of 2:06.99. The senior from Springboro, Ohio who already owned the record in the 200-yard fly now claims the top three times ever in the history of the SCAC. Stier who finised a close second in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard fly to Centre's Lis Starr was able to out touch Starr in the 200-yard fly.

The four time winner of the 200-yard fly had a chance to talk about her swim after the race.

For the men, Alex Miranda of Trinity set a new SCAC record in the 200-yard fly with a time of 1:51.76. Miranda, a freshman from Upper Arlington, Ohio continued the sucess for the Tigers in this event as they have now won seven of the last eight years. Alex who was the winner of the men's 500-yard freestyle on Thursday night talked about his swim after the meet.
