Before the 2009 Championships began, Doogan held three individual SCAC records in the 200-yard IM, 400-yard IM and the 200-yard backstroke. Thursday night Lis Starr of Centre broke her 200-yard IM record in a time of 2:06.36 (Listen to Starr).

However Doogan still holds two individual records. Tonight another Doogan record will be on the line in the 200-yard backstroke - a record she set back in 2005 in a time of 2:06.35.

A native of Troy, Michigan, Doogan was a three-time all-American at DePauw and won 10 individual SCAC swimming titles during her four-year career (tied for second all-time and just one shy of the record 11 held by Jane H. Champman of Sewanee).
